| Babies These 1:12 scale babies have a soft cloth body. Their faces and hair are carefully hand-painted. Some babies have mohair wigs. The clothing is fully removable (except models SB024, 025, 027, 029 and 037). Some outfits are made using pure silk; some are hand-crocheted or hand-knitted. Some babies are awake; some are sleeping. |

| Heidi Ott was born in central Switzerland, which remains the base from which her large doll and miniature dolls ideas are born and designed. Heidi first became renowned as a doll artist in the mid-1970s for her handpainted, country-styled children and baby dolls. They proved so popular that she could never painted enough of them to keep up with the demand. Several more ranges of both play and collectible dolls in different sizes followed over the decades. |
| Together with her son, Karl Jr., Heidi has created a diverse range of miniature dolls and accessories. While Heidi is the artistic talent, Karl is the force behind the technical engineering and exceptional precision that is evident in their work. Having also inheritied his mother's creative flair, Karl designed the range of fine working clocks that he also makes in the Heidi Ott workshop in Switzerland. |
